Winners

The Schut Family has been involved with Haflingers and draft ponies since the 1960's. Grandpa (Harley Schut) and Grandma (Nan Wuis) got "hitched" in 1969 after Nan's father and harness maker, Weldon "Bud" Wuis, ordered a show wagon from Harley. Over the years, Uncle Jake and Uncle Jack Schut helped grow Grandpa's wagon business into the J.W. Schut Company where Jake and Harley are still producing custom hitch wagons for customers around the country. With Uncle Jack's passing in 1999, Uncle Jake gave Alexandria a filly foal named "Hope" out of Grandpa and Grandma's "Queen" mare to carry on the memory and the legacy of Uncle Jack's influence. Now you know...the rest of the story!
